Start by choosing a website and date range. Your assistant uses the DataFast data you give it access to.

Add DataFast as a remote MCP server in your client. Both OAuth and API tokens use this URL over Streamable HTTP.

Sign in on DataFast and approve specific websites and permissions. Your client handles its connection token, so there’s no API key to create or copy.

Available tools depend on your connection method, permissions, and plan. Start with analytics and enable more only when you need it.
- Traffic and revenue
- Explore visitors, revenue, MRR, and trends. Break results down by page, referrer, campaign, country, or device.
- Goals and funnels
- Measure goal completions, inspect custom properties, and find where visitors leave your conversion funnel.
- Visitors and journeys
- Look up visitor activity and completed goals, subject to your connection’s visitor permissions.
- AI traffic and mentions
- Inspect tracked AI crawler activity and stored social mentions to understand how people discover you.
- Website operations
- Manage supported website settings, goals, funnels, alerts, and chart notes when you allow write access.
- Account administration
- Use a suitably scoped account token for broader account, team, and credential tools. These are excluded from OAuth.
You choose the access
Every tool call checks your connection’s permissions and website access. An assistant can only use the data and actions you allow.

- Start with read access. Enable supported write actions only when you want them.
- Manage or revoke connections in Settings → API / MCP → Connected apps.

What is the DataFast MCP server?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. The DataFast MCP server lets compatible AI assistants use your DataFast analytics and supported management tools, so you can ask questions and authorize actions in a conversation.
Which AI assistants can I use?
Use a client that supports remote MCP over Streamable HTTP, such as Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor. Our setup guide covers OAuth for Codex and Claude Code, plus API-token configuration for all three.
Do I need a DataFast account?
Yes. You need a DataFast account with API access. Your existing plan, website access, permissions, and rate limits still apply.
Can my assistant make changes?
Only when your connection permits the action. OAuth starts with read permissions selected; you can enable supported writes during consent. OAuth write tools also require confirmation and a retry key. Website deletion and payment-provider connections stay in the dashboard.
