Track social mentions on your analytics chart
See when your brand is mentioned on 𝕏 and Reddit directly on your main analytics chart to understand how social media buzz correlates with traffic spikes and revenue.

Why track mentions?
Understanding when your brand is discussed on social media helps you:
- Connect social buzz to revenue spikes - See which mentions actually drive traffic and sales
- Identify viral moments - Spot when your brand gains traction and capitalize on momentum
- Time your marketing - Launch campaigns when social conversation is already high

How it works
When someone mentions your tracked keywords on 𝕏 or your domain on Reddit, DataFast automatically adds the mention as a note on your analytics chart. You'll see:
- The actual post content in your chart tooltips
- Mentions aligned with traffic and revenue data
- Which social conversations led to conversions
𝕏 mentions
DataFast searches for your tracked keywords and domain on 𝕏, finding tweets that mention your brand.
Reddit mentions
DataFast searches Reddit for posts that mention your website domain or any of the keywords you track for 𝕏. Reddit mentions include the post title, body preview, subreddit, score, and comment count.
Set up mention tracking
- Go to your Website Settings > Integrations
- Find the Twitter / 𝕏 section
- Click the Mentions tab
- Add keywords you want to track (used for both 𝕏 and Reddit search):
Keywords to track
DataFast, @datafast_, #DataFastAnalytics, YourProductName.Keyword rules
- 4-15 characters per keyword
- Case insensitive matching
- Include @ for handle mentions
- Avoid generic terms to prevent spam
Note: Your domain is automatically tracked on both 𝕏 and Reddit — no need to add it manually. The keywords you add to your 𝕏 mentions list are shared with Reddit, so you manage a single list in the Twitter / 𝕏 card.
Best practices
- Track brand name and products — See how they are mentioned on 𝕏 and Reddit.
- Monitor campaign hashtags - Add hashtags from specific marketing campaigns
- Avoid generic terms - Don't track words like "analytics" or "software" that create noise
